FAQ   What is…?

KANOKO

Reinforced external lining, for greater resistance against abrasions and cuts

SMOOTHSKIN

Leather-like external rubber with excellent hydrodynamics, elasticity and drying speed but more delicate than the external lining

SUPERSKIN

Leather-like external rubber with hydrodynamics at the highest levels (20% more than smoothskin), elasticity and drying speed but more delicate than external lining (available in various colours)

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SMOOTHSKIN AND SUPERSKIN

The superskin has an extremely slippery and hydrodynamic external surface which guarantees 20% more speed in the water than the classic smoothskin neoprene

COATING

Rubberized wetsuit interior with metal covering (called gold or titanium) which guarantees greater ease of dressing compared to the open cell and excellent thermal resistance

OPEN CELL

Internal rubber which guarantees great adherence to the body of the wetsuit and excellent thermal protection resistance but to wear it you must always use lubricants

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COATING CELL AND COATING SMOOTHSKIN

coating smoothskin: internal rubber coating with smoothskin neoprene covering for maximum ease of wearing without lubricants

coating cell: internal rubber coating with open cell neoprene coverage for excellent adhesion and ease of wearing

LINING

Fabric available in various configurations such as lycra, nylon, polyester etc. for greater resistance and durability and is available both external and internal wetsuit

WATER-REPELLENT LINING

Latest generation of external fabrics that do not absorb water and therefore prevent the body from cooling out of the water, but always good resistance against tear

PLUSH

Internal thermal fabric, resistant and slippery to wear

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HEIWA, NJN E YAMAMOTO 45

Heiwa: high density neoprene suitable for very deep dives, not particularly soft and elastic like the others but resistant and cheaper

NJN: medium density neoprene, very elastic, suitable for deep dives thanks to the thickness memory, warm and robust

Daiwabo: high density but more elastic neoprene than heiwa, suitable for deep dives, warm and robust

Yamamoto 45: the most elastic and softest of all, top model of the Yamamoto line, it is super comfortable but more delicate and more expensive

MESH SKIN

External rubber worked in squares/diamonds which makes it slightly more resistant to cuts than smoothskin neoprene

NEOPRENE AURORA

Latest generation of smoothskin external Yamamoto 45 neoprene, with the main feature of changing color based on the light.
Ultra soft, ultra comfortable but very delicate and the most expensive
